What the aurora are called up in this neck of the woods because of the beams of light that dance across the sky.

This was at the peak of the display with strong beams of light reaching quite high in the sky.

Best display of the current aurora season.

Shadows on a cow byre

This is the front of an old stone cow byre, which is beside an old croft house in Hillside, Auckengill. The land that the house and byre stands on has now been decrofted.
